Violations of the Code of Conduct may be reported by sending an email to email@example.com. All reports will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. Further details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.
Othercon prioritizes marginalized people’s safety over privileged people’s comfort. We reserve the right for the Othercon Staff to abstain from action on complaints regarding:
- "Reverse" -isms, including "reverse racism", "reverse sexism", and "cisphobia"
- Reasonable communication of boundaries, such as "leave me alone," "go away," or "I’m not discussing this with you."
We hold the right and responsibility to remove comments or other contributions that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any members for other behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful. If any participants at the convention (attendees, panelists, artist, staff, etc.) are discovered to be a part of an offensive or harmful group (pedophiles/MAPs, zoophiles, supremacists, nazis, etc.), we reserve the right to deny them entry to the convention.
